What to do this weekend with your family? Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend. Please call ahead before leaving your house to ensure the venue is still hosting the event. Due to the new COVID guidelines, many venues have had to cut back on the number of visitors they can allow.



The Parade forms at A. Duie Pyle on Limestone Rd at 12:30pm and starts at 1:30pm. The parade will end at the Keystone Valley Fire Department with a brief formal ceremony at the Veteran's Memorial Garden. After ceremony picknic at VFW Parkesburg Post 4480. Join us honoring and mourning the military personnel who have died in the performance of their military duties while serving in the United States Armed Forces.



15th Annual BOPC Car Show Presented by Delaware Valley Oldsmobile Club All Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, & Cadillacs Welcome Featuring National Hurst Olds Day! 



Parent Night Out is United Sports's alternative to babysitting.
Children will have a blast playing sports, bouncing on inflatables, climbing our rock wall, and more!

We’re giving the most important meal of the day a BIG upgrade! Enjoy a delicious, socially distanced outdoor breakfast buffet, right next to our three towering giraffes. Visitors of all ages are invited to discover solutions to science and engineering challenges at Science Saturday. Activities are included in regular admission and free for Hagley members. This is a drop-in activity, feel free to join the fun at any time from 12 to 4 p.m. 


In collaboration with local children's author, Jamie Kleman, and 18 local businesses (restaurants, shops, and organizations), Kennett Library is proud to present the Kennett Square Story Stroll!

During the month of May, pages of "It's Not Mean to be Green" will be placed in the front windows of local businesses so children and families can stroll leisurely down the downtown blocks and read together a story of "going green".



May will be Strawberry Month at Peddler’s Village. Every day in May, savor strawberry-themed food and drink specials at our restaurants and eateries. Stop by on weekends for live entertainment and strawberry treats served at outdoor food tents.




The new Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink will offer outdoor roller skating at Dilworth Park from Friday, April 30 through Sunday, June 27. The rink’s retro-inspired design will feature a checkerboard floor and market lights. A colorful installation of overhead hula-hoops.



Elmo’s Springtacular at Sesame Place is filled with furry fun and exciting events! On weekends from April 24 through June 20, join in on the fun with an exciting lineup of meet & greets, music, magic, pirate adventures, and fireworks. With limited capacity, physical distancing increased cleaning, and more, it’s a great time to get back to fun in our spacious outdoor park.



Come sail with us! Kalmar Nyckel offers river cruises, day sails, and appearances from May through October in 2021. Sails are limited to 25 passengers and reservations required.




Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is one of the Philadelphia Waterfront's favorite Summertime traditions featuring outdoor roller skating, boardwalk games and rides, mini-golf, and great food and drinks, all with soaring views of the Delaware River and Ben Franklin Bridge. Summerfest is the perfect place for a family outing, a school trip, or a meet-up with friends.

On Friday, Feb. 12, and running through December 2021, Parking Lot Theaters will be hosting popular movies at Exton Square Mall, Exton. In addition to viewing these movies from the comfort of your car, customers can order and enjoy many movie theater amenities such as popcorn, candy, and some hot food choices.



Guests to the Philadelphia Museum of Art can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.


Virtual Event

Music with Miss Jill is an interactive music program for toddlers through Kindergarten. Weekly activities consist of songs, fingerplays, puppets, props, and musical games. Each week is theme-oriented.
Please register with an email address attached to a Zoom account. Zoom invitations will be sent out 24 hours in advance.

Just Between Friends Consignment Sale
September 7th -10th


Do you have baby/children’s clothes, toys, and furniture that have been outgrown? Do you want to get rid of them and earn extra cash? If so, Just Between Friends is right for you.

Anyone can consign during this semi-annual event. Just register online, tag your items before the day of the sale using their on-line tagging system, and then drop them off at the sale. JBF does the rest.
  •  Consignors make 60% of their sales (consignors who also volunteer make 70%).
  • You set your own price and decide if your item is discounted during half price days
  • Consignors will receive a presale pass to shop before the public.
  • The fee to consign is only $10.
  • Consignors are required to have a minimum of 20 items or $100 worth of items.
  • With the on-line bar-coding system (www.myjbftags.com), it is easy to enter your tags and print them off.
  •  You will then be able to track your sales during the event
  • They accept seasonally appropriate clothing items during the sales as well as toys, books, and furniture.
If you don’t want to consign, you can shop for great deals on quality items.

Shopping Tips & Information
  • Wear comfortable shoes so you can get the good deals quickly.
  • Bring your child's measurements and a tape measure to check the items you are buying.
  • We prefer Cash but also accept Visa, MasterCard & Discover. 
  • Children are welcome during the public shopping hours however it gets very busy. If possible, we recommend getting a babysitter so you can enjoy your shopping experience.
  • We have a holding area and extra-large shopping bags for your convenience.
  • We are unable to allow children to play with the toys at the sale. Items are the property of consignors and if they are broken or separated they cannot be sold.

I participated in many of Just Between Friends sales and it really is a convenient way to de-clutter your house. I sold a ton of my girl’s clothes and even two strollers. What I really loved was that you could check exactly what was sold through the JBF website.
