Fun Things To Do in Chester County This Weekend For Families and Kids June 25, 26, 27

A list of best things to do in Chester County this weekend, June 25th, 26th, and 27th

What to do this weekend with your family? Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend. Please call ahead before leaving your house to ensure the venue is still hosting the event. Due to COVID guidelines, many venues have cut back on the number of visitors they can allow.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the family classic “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” under the stars at Oakbourne Park.  Free popcorn and glow sticks will be provided.  Participants will be asked to distance themselves from other family groups.

Join us for Holy Trinity's Carnival on June 27 from 10 AM to Noon.
Games and prizes! Fun for everyone.
Reserve your space now for you and your friends!

Discover the wonderful, worm-filled world of soil! Create your own mixture, plant a seed in it, and watch it grow!
This week we’ll be joined by our friends from the Delaware Museum of Natural History (DMNH) who will be providing some extra fun! Dig into DMNH’s compost bin for a look at dirt’s most well-known resident—the worm! Learn about other dirt dwellers and meet some, too!

This pared-down, FREE, version of the Ice Cream Festival invites you to bring your picnic lunch, chairs, and blankets to relax outdoors at beautiful Rockwood Park as you browse the shops of  First State Flea Market, listen to great live local music, and enjoy great local ice cream and the Wilmington Brew Works Beer Garden. Come out to support small local businesses and spend some time with your community.

Visit the whimsical world of Mo Willems and his cast of lovable characters, including best friend duo Elephant and Piggie, faithful companion Knuffle Bunny and The Pigeon, the wily city bird best known for his antics in Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!

Activities in the exhibition will give children the opportunity to make art that is inspired by Mo Willems and to learn about the social and emotional lives of the author’s popular characters.

Purchase your tickets in advance to pick your own strawberries at Highland Orchards

Enjoy a relaxing 90-minute train ride from West Chester to Glen Mills and return on a warm summer afternoon. Pack a lunch to have during our stop at the Glen Mills train station picnic grove.

The new Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink will offer outdoor roller skating at Dilworth Park from Friday, April 30 through Sunday, June 27. The rink’s retro-inspired design will feature a checkerboard floor and market lights. A colorful installation of overhead hula-hoops.

Come sail with us! Kalmar Nyckel offers river cruises, day sails, and appearances from May through October in 2021. Sails are limited to 25 passengers, and reservations are required.

Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is one of the Philadelphia Waterfront's favorite Summertime traditions featuring outdoor roller skating, boardwalk games and rides, mini-golf, and great food and drinks, all with soaring views of the Delaware River and Ben Franklin Bridge. Summerfest is the perfect place for a family outing, a school trip, or a meet-up with friends.

Travel back in time 66 million years ago and journey to an age when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Encounter 24 life-size creatures, learn about these prehistoric giants, the rise of humans, and our impact on wildlife and the planet!  Timed tickets are required.

Escape the every day here at Longwood, where the most beautiful, most peaceful, most enthralling summer getaway awaits.

Stroll through our gardens awash in brilliantly blooming annuals and perennials, or find a quiet, shaded spot among our towering trees to our serene woodland paths. Looking to make a splash? Head to our spectacular Main Fountain Garden, where fountains spin and soar during our daily fountain performances, giving “refreshing” a whole new meaning.

Guests to the Philadelphia Museum of Art can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park have adventures behind every corner. They are the ultimate indoor playground for your entire family. Take your kids’ birthday party to the next level or spend a day of fun with the family, and you’ll see why we’re more than just a trampoline park.
