Fun Things To Do In Chester County This Weekend For Families And Kids February 11th, 12th, & 13th

A list of best things to do in Chester County this weekend
February 11th, 12th, & 13th

What to do this weekend with your family? Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend. There is so much to do for families and kids, especially now that most venues are open and happy to welcome you back.

This fun alternative to babysitting makes it easy for you to have the enjoyable evening you deserve while knowing your child is safe, supervised, and having a blast!

During Parents’ Night Out, they’ll be busy playing games, rock climbing, and participating in a variety of activities throughout the evening while you spend a night on the town or simply relax at home! We wind down the evening with a little movie time for those who tire out, or open playtime for those who still have more energy to burn off. Dinner of pizza and a drink is included.

During these special evenings, join us for a display of reflection and remembrance, as thousands of luminaria light the way against the backdrop of our moonlit winter garden and within the warmth of our Conservatory.

During these extended-hour evenings, walk along undulating sound waves of light—representing the cycles of quiet and solitude versus the loud bombardment of information and data we’ve all had to process—along Paulownia Allée. Arrive at the East Conservatory Plaza, where we invite you to light your own luminaria in hope, in remembrance, or in tribute alongside a welcoming fire pit. From there, continue inside to enjoy the warmth and the glow of more than 1,000 luminaria illuminating our Conservatory.

The annual Children’s Concert is a favorite of audiences young and old as you get a chance to hear the instruments of the orchestra demonstrated individually and through the performance of exciting classical and contemporary works for full orchestra. This season the orchestra presents music full of excitement and adventure and will include activities for all throughout the performance. Afterward, children are invited to meet the musicians and to see and hear the instruments up close. This is sure to be another entertaining Children’s Concert by the Immaculata Symphony.

Love is in the air— Share a romantic Valentine’s Brunch with your significant other in our Canopy Gardens Hall, complete with an animal meet and greet! Guests who would prefer some quality alone time to enjoy their brunch can send their children (ages 4+) to our fun and educational animal workshop.

This winter, experience a warm, colorful oasis in our grand Conservatory. Vibrant Streptocarpus ‘Concord Blue’ baskets float above, pink and purple Saintpaulia (African-violets) delight, and tall Clerodendrum schmidtii (chains-of-glory) stun. From beds of coral Cymbidium to a dedicated area showcasing highlights from our vast collection, find hundreds of orchids in spectacular bloom. What’s more, with the January return of performances to our Conservatory, experience an extraordinary lineup of artists from audience favorites to new talent, all bringing a world of music to the ever-changing beauty of our Conservatory.

Outside, stroll 400 acres of winter’s beauty. Although subdued colors reign, the occasional burst of bright yellow and orange of blooming witch-hazel dots the landscape, while winter grasses add a textural element.
