Adapted from the last story by the author of The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling, and The Emperor’s New Clothes, this new musical odyssey celebrates the excitement of the unknown with catchy songs and fantastical stage magic that will entertain children and parents alike.

About the show
The earliest written version we know of the story of Dick Whittington dates from 1605! The eponymous hero is a real person: Richard Whittington was made Lord Mayor of London at least three times between 1397 and 1420. In 1402 (aged 52) he married Alice, daughter of Sir Ivo FitzWarin. They had no children. Whittington was very rich (something that required explaining obviously) and when he died in 1423 he left £7,000 to charity.
