It's time to find the perfect pumpkin to decorate.  We have a list of the best pumpkin patches in and around the Philadelphia Area.  We even included a few pumpkin events for your family to visit for some inspiration.

Bring the family for a day or night down on the farm! There's endless fun, including apple picking & sunflowers (while supplies last), pumpkin picking, wagon rides, LIVE music, tasty food, spirited drinks, loads of activities for the kiddos + Eerie Illuminations...a super fun Halloween light show.








An annual trip to Pumpkinland has been a family tradition for generations of Delaware Valley Residents. During September and October, Pumpkinland takes center stage at Linvilla Orchards. Larger-than-life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, local history, and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.

Our annual pumpkin harvest season at Milky Way Farm runs Sept 24-Oct 30, 2022. For Saturdays and Sundays, individual tickets must be purchased in advance to limit capacity in response to COVID19 regulations. Stroll to the pumpkin patch, wander through the corn maze, take family photos, and visit the farm animals as part of your 2-hour $5 admission ticket. Bring your own wagon to carry pumpkins, fall harvest items, vegetables, and honey products which may be purchased during your visit. There will not be free hayrides however we are offering private hayride wagon trips to the patch for $75 (wagon can fit 20 family and friends ) using other event link. Tip: Purchase private hayride for family or group prior to farm admission tickets as you must arrive at the farm at least 30 minutes before your confirmed private hayride time. Visitors are expected to wear face masks and practice social distancing. Chester Springs Creamery will be open for ice cream from 10:30 am-8 pm on these days. We are open rain or shine.

Arasapha Farm is re-opening this year with lots of new additions and family fun. The corn maze has been planted, and new games make it more fun than ever. Other activities include pumpkin picking. This includes a Hayride to the Corn Maze and back to the courtyard. Our picnic areas and other activities are available for Birthday parties, family reunions, and other gatherings. Parties include a jump on the pillow bounce, pallet maze, tractor and truck playground, and corn cannons.

Pick-your-own pumpkin patch with a free hayride out to the fields.  Beyond the patch, you can find pumpkins and gourds in all sizes and colors, corn stalks, straw bales, a corn maze, and more.   





Ride a tractor-drawn wagon out to the pumpkin patch, where you can spend as long as you want to select the perfect pumpkins for every member of the family. Be sure you bring along your camera for some priceless photos. Of course, you can also just take the hayride and get your pumpkins on another weekend.

Saturday, October 22th, 3pm - 9pm

Join us for a three-day Chadds Ford tradition where over 70 giant pumpkins are carved by local artists on Thursday and will be lit and displayed on Friday & Saturday. All three nights, enjoy a 'kid-friendly Haunted Trail, raffle prizes, and live music. Food, local craft beer, and wine are available for purchase.

FallFest admission includes wagon rides to pumpkins, apples & sunflowers (apples & sunflowers while supplies last), corn maze, hay maze, jumping pillow, spider web, playground, go-carts, + an animated Chicken Show. Timed tickets must be purchased in advance.

Due to the ongoing Pandemic, only the corn maze, sunflower field, and pumpkin picking are open to the general public. This includes a Hayride to the Corn Maze and back to the parking lot. October 6th- October 31st

The fall harvest is here and don’t miss the excitement at PumkinFest! Come take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkin, or to the apple orchard to pick juicy, delicious apples (while supplies last), not to mention all the festival fun listed below. Take a break at the Silo with locally brewed craft beer or Rose Bank Winery wines, or grab a bite at one of our food establishments. Make memories with a day full of family fun!

Milky Way Farm hosts a Pumpkin Harvest Season, a pick-your-own pumpkin patch and corn maze, from Sept 30th-Oct 29th – 5 weekends. Milky Way Farm has been featured as “12 Perfectly Pleasant Pumpkin Patches in Pennsylvania”.
September 23rd -October 29th

Visit Pumpkin Garden where your kids will love the pillow bounce, moon bounces the brand new barn bounce and pumpkin jump. Have a blast with the corn cannon. Mine for gems at our all new gem mining experience. Visit with the animals at the Petting Zoo. With train rides, pedal carts, hay bale mazes, and more the kids are sure to have fun! But the fun doesn’t end there! Take a hayride down to the Pumpkin Patch to pick your own pumpkin. Or see if how quickly you can find your way through the 5-acre corn maze. 



September 29th - October 31st

Saturday, October 21, Noon – 2 pm

Pick out a pumpkin from the Franklin Square Pumpkin Patch and decorate it with spooky designs to take home. FREE! Recommended for children 10 and under. Limit: 1 pumpkin per child. 




Sat. Oct. 21, 2017 
10:30-4:00 pm

Celebrate all things pumpkin! Featuring derby races, a carnival, crafts, live music, and much more! Crawl the town sampling pumpkin treats and products from local businesses, carve a mini-pumpkin, or compete in one of the contests for some great prizes.




October 19th-21st

Watch local artists carve huge pumpkins (5-9PM). See candle-lit carved pumpkins Fri.-Sat (5-9PM). All Three nights of family fun, food, live music, and hayrides!

The kids are back to school and cooler weather is on the way. There are plenty of hayrides, apple festivals, pumpkin picking, and much more fall events happening in the area this fall.


October 7th

The 18th century comes alive during this annual event, with the sights, sounds, and smells of colonial America. This event features demonstrations of various historic skills and trades, including blacksmithing, open-hearth cooking, Native American skills, and much more. Listen to music by the Colonial Revelers, learn colonial dancing, and have your silhouette made. Visitors can shop in the festival’s Colonial Market for handmade goods, including cornmeal ground in the site’s 1704 grist mill. Young visitors will especially enjoy painting a pumpkin, taking a hay ride, and seeing interactive performances by Tuckers’ Tales Puppet Theatre! The Fall Harvest Festival is a full day of fun for all ages.

Cherry Crest Adventure Farm is a 15-acre farm located in Lancaster, with 50+ Farm Fun activities, including the Hay Chute Slide and Straw Bale Racer, Jump Pillow, Farm Tour Wagon Ride, Petting Zoo and Farm Experience Center, Corny’s Ball-cade, and everyone's favorite the Corn Maze.

Linvilla Orchard's famous Hayride to the Witches’ House is a hayride to visit the friendly Witches’ House in the woods. The witch tells stories and jokes and gives all of the kids a treat. The hayride ends at a campfire where you receive a sample of apple cider and marshmallows to roast.



October 21st, 22nd, 28th, and 29th

Philadelphia Zoo is adding a little green to your Halloween with the return of Boo at the Zoo!
Enjoy festive fall offerings available for purchase throughout the Zoo: hot apple cider, reusable Boo at the Zoo trick-or-treat bags and much more!
Set out on a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt and discover your favorite animals in the form of life-size scarecrows!


September 22nd -October 31st

For 26 years, the Haunted Hayride at Arasapha Farm has been scaring its visitors with amazing props, digital FX, great actors and extraordinary professional makeup. The Haunted Hayride is a 25 minute, action packed, heart pounding ride through the dark forest of Arasapha Farm.



September 16th - November 5th

Hayrides, Corn Maze, the Pumpkin Patch and all other attractions return on Sept. 16th. 
The Great Train Adventure Corn Maze -- Take a fascinating ride through the history of the railroad in America! Discover the role of early steam locomotives in the expansion of a newly formed nation. Maze design includes a dynamic view of a steam locomotive.

Climb aboard our larger-than-life steam train and enjoy a 45-minute, round-trip ride through the tranquil Amish countryside to Paradise, PA, and back. Marvel at more than 1,000 acres of farm fields as they pass by your window.

Everyone’s a kid again when it comes to Halloween horrors and freaky fun! Bring the family for another one of Media’s ‘monster’ street festivals. 

October 25th at 7pm

Enjoy the costumes, the kids, and the fun starts at 7pm for the West Chester Halloween Parade in downtown West Chester. Parade gathers on Market Street between Church & Darlington and continues down Market and up Gay Street.

Celebrate the season with Tyler’s Pumpkin Days celebration. Enjoy two days of family fun with music, games, crafts and more! Assemble your own scarecrow, pick a perfect pumpkin, and enjoy a hayride tour through Tyler’s fall colors. With stilt-walker-extraordinaire Samantha Hyman, face painting, balloon animals, and haunted tree houses there’s something for everyone.

The OPC Apple Festival is the perfect fall day trip destination! This free event for all ages will feature live entertainment, 80+ crafters, artisans, and vendors, demonstrations, delicious food (including food trucks and dozens of homemade apple pies!), kettle-cooked apple butter made on premises, old-fashioned pressed cider, silent auction, barrel train rides and lots of other fun activities for kids!
