We invite you to explore our events calendar, featuring a range of family-friendly activities and events to enjoy throughout the week, including weekends. We continually update our events calendar, so there's always something new and exciting to do! 




Matlack Florist's fourth annual Fall Fest!
Live music, giveaways, free cider and doughnuts, face painting, food truck, visiting goats, kid-friendly fun, fall plants and pumpkins for sale, and much more.

Autumn Bounty Festival at Terrian Glen Mills


Join us to usher in harvest season at our annual Autumn Bounty Festival!
We'll fall into the new season with live demos, live music, local artisan makers, and more.
This event is free and open to the public.



Be sure to “shop until you drop” at our curated selection of vendors
Hungry? We have several food trucks with varying options – all delicious! 
Music will fill the air with DJ Kevin Broderick and local musicians providing the soundtrack for the day. Music will start at 10 am and continue throughout the day! We will have limited chairs, but feel free to bring a lawn chair if you plan on sitting a spell and listening to our line up!




Join us on Saturday, September 27th, for some fall family fun. We will have pony rides & animals, a rock wall, wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, apple slingshots, face painting, food, live music, and much more.




Apple lovers all know that Fall is the best time to celebrate this delicious and versatile fruit. On September 28th from 10 AM to 4 PM, everyone is welcome to the Cider Fest at the Mill at Anselma in Chester Springs.




This Halloween display of colorful cartoon characters, scarecrows, a hay hutch, and over ten tons of pumpkins is always a hit! Take a daytime hayride or walk through the maze.

Fall Fun at Highland Orchards

Our fall harvest celebration weekends kick off on September 14, weather permitting. 
 Activities include Apple and Pumpkin picking, Corn maze, Apple cannons, Face Painting, Axe Throwing, Trackless Train Rides, and Hayrides.
The farm market will be well stocked with mums, pumpkins of all sizes and colors, and oodles of fall and Halloween decorating items.

Arasapha Farm is open this year with many new additions and family fun. The corn maze has been planted and new games make it more fun than ever. Other activities include pumpkin picking. This includes a Hayride to the Corn Maze and back to the courtyard. Our picnic areas, along with other activities are available for Birthday parties, family reunions and other gatherings. Parties include a jump on the pillow bounce, pallet maze, tractor and truck playground and corn cannons.



Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire at Mount Hope Estate. Guests can experience themed entertainment, food,  contests, and activities. Tickets should be purchased online in advance to guarantee admission.



Relax and unwind amid stunning summer vistas … find thrills with our vibrant Illuminated Fountain Performances … savor a romantic date night under the stars …soak up family time with our all-new Fountain Fest Weekends … and create unforgettable memories.


Our regularly scheduled weekly train. Enjoy a relaxing 90 minute train ride from West Chester to Glen Mills and return. Pack a lunch to have during our stop at the Glen Mills train station picnic grove, where you can explore our picnic area, our 1880s station building, or the Red Brick Winery.



Discover the sights, sounds, and scents of the season with a fun, 30-minute nature walk designed for the whole family.

Explore nature near and far with tools like magnifying glasses and binoculars while using your senses to experience the Gardens through a new lens. Recommended for adults and children.


Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.




Burn off some energy while having some fun while skating with the family.

The Kennett Arts Festival has something for everyone: over 100 artists, live music, children’s activities, and a selection of local food vendors, including beer and wine.



A local favorite, the Fall Festival features a wide variety of historic skills and trades demonstrations, hayrides, and hands-on activities for kids of all ages! This year, the site’s archaeology festival has been incorporated into the Fall Festival, so the event will also include archaeological excavations and activities, plus displays from local historical organizations. In addition, there will be vendors of handcrafted goods in the Colonial Market, locally-made beer and wine at the Tavern, a Community Corner featuring local businesses and organizations, and food vendors. Admission to the Fall Festival is free. Parking is $5 per car.


Chester County Restaurant & Food Truck Festival The Chester County Restaurant and Food Truck Festival is back for its 43rd year! This foodie event is full of entertainment, information booths, local artisans, and tons of delicious food from Chester County and beyond. Local & regional food vendors and restaurants take over Downtown West Chester serving up some of their delicious, gourmet, ethnic, and unique restaurant favorites. The Beer and Wine Garden is a great place to stop and enjoy your food with a beverage. There are also three stage areas with bands performing throughout the day.


Join Thomas the Tank Engine™, a full-sized operating steam locomotive, as he greets friends of all ages. Thomas and his friends return to the Strasburg Rail Road in 2025!

Thomas the Tank Engine — the famous steam locomotive from the Island of Sodor — will pull your 45-minute excursion ride (4.5 miles east and 4.5 miles returning west on the same track) through the beautiful Lancaster County countryside.

Greenberg's Train & Toy Show is designed for the general public, modelers, hobbyists, families, and the just plain curious. Each show features hundreds of tables of trains and accessories for sale, huge operating exhibits, activities for kids, and more. All scales are welcome as are books, videos, and railroad Iana.




It’s Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie’s friend, Lucille, doesn’t want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. The gingerbread entries will be on exhibit during shopping hours from November 15 through January 19, 2025 in the Visitor & Event Center. Admission is free.




On view through our Chrysanthemum Festival and A Longwood Christmas seasons, a perfectly fanciful blend of horticulture, engineering, and lighthearted fun awaits guests of all ages with this very special display located outdoors near the Terrace Restaurant.

Since 1989, the OPC Apple Festival has been a highlight of the fall, and we are thrilled to be returning again this year!
