Brick Fest Live Ticket Giveaway!!!

Nation’s #1 LEGO® Event Returns to Home Town of Philadelphia

with New Attractions

at Brick Fest Live! April 21-22

Brick Fest Live! will offer four football fields of LEGO to more than 25,000 super fans at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center April 21-22, 2018. Fun Things is giving away a Family 4-Pack of tickets to the Brick Fest Live! Simply complete this GIVEAWAY FORM and ONE winner will be selected by random.org on April 15th.

Before there was Legoland in Plymouth Meeting, there was the region’s first major LEGO event created for local LEGO fans and their families -- all inspired by a seven-year-old girl from Bucks County. Now Brick Fest Live!, the nation’s #1 LEGO event and the largest touring LEGO show in the U.S., is returning home for its flagship Philadelphia show with more attractions than ever that inspire, educate and entertain. Watch the video here.

Fresh off an exhibition at the New York Hall of Science, Brick Fest Live! will offer four football fields of LEGO to more than 25,000 super fans at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center April 21-22, 2018.

“Brick Fest Live! began with my daughter Jordyn, who asked me to help her create a YouTube channel devoted to the LEGO creations we were building together back in 2012,” says Brick Fest Live! founder Chad Collins, a Northeast Philadelphia native who resides with his family in Bucks County. “After posting nearly 500 videos and accumulating more than 11 million video views, we realized our community would enjoy meeting in person. Surprisingly, the closest LEGO event was several states away, so we created Brick Fest Live! to bring everybody together.”

“Today we tour the nation and increase awareness that science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are all in play when it comes to LEGO and other construction toys,” says Brick Fest Live! show producer Gabe Young. “At Brick Fest Live!, families build together to accomplish their goals and find creative solutions. In the process, they’re inspiring the next generation of artists, engineers and architects.”

Families will enjoy new attractions as well as fan favorites (including local landmarks made entirely of LEGO), as they build with millions of LEGO bricks and walk among life-sized LEGO models.

Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia

Earlier this spring Legoland Discovery Center opened at the Plymouth Meeting Mall.  Recently my family and I were invited to check out this new addition to the area.

Before you go
To save some money and to skip the lines you should order your tickets before you leave home at Legoland Discovery Center. If you purchase tickets at home you will guarantee  Legoland is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you want to purchase your tickets when you arrive at Legoland you can do that too.  Legoland is located in the Plymouth Meeting Mall and it's very easy to get to via 476 or 76. Allow yourself 2 to 3 hours to experience everything at Legoland.

What to check out

What We Love
We fell in love with the miniland of Philadelphia.  We could have spent hours finding all of the iconic Philadelphia buildings.  My husband got a kick out of finding the building he works in made out of Legos.
As a mom of daughters, I loved the section of the discovery center that had Lego Friends since they are a favorite in our house.
I also liked how they had something for everyone to keep families happy and busy while visiting and exploring Legoland Discovery Center.

LEGOLAND® DISCOVERY CENTER PHILADELPHIA SEEKING LOCAL CHILDREN TO BE A PART OF THEIR “CREATIVE CREW”

LEGOLAND® DISCOVERY CENTER PHILADELPHIA SEEKING LOCAL CHILDREN TO BE A PART OF THEIR “CREATIVE CREW”

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Philadelphia is seeking young LEGO fans from the local community to apply to join their “Creative Crew,” a group of children aged 6-12 who will participate in fun activities, special events, and assist the attraction’s Master Model Builder. Once construction is complete this spring, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia will be a 33,000-square-foot indoor LEGO playground offering 2-3 hours of family fun and imaginative learning complete with a 4D Cinema and LEGO-themed ride.

What is Creative Crew?
Children in the Creative Crew will serve as special ambassadors leading up to the attraction’s grand opening and beyond, building and testing new models for events, reporting on what’s new and sharing top tips on everything LEGO—from the best seat in the LEGO® 4D Cinema to how to get the highest score on the attraction’s LEGO-themed ride, Creative Express.

“This special team of LEGO fans from the community will be integral in ensuring our attraction is up to the standard of our most important critics, the children,” said Mike Taylor, General Manager for LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia.

How do you apply?
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia is hosting a contest from Wednesday, January 11 through Sunday, February 5 to find a group of imaginative and enthusiastic children to fill the 12 spots in their Creative Crew. Interested children must show off an original LEGO model and answer the question, “Why should you be in the Creative Crew?” in a 30-second video posted to Facebook or Twitter with #PhillyCreativeCrew.

Submissions will be evaluated based on the creativity and enthusiasm in the child’s response, imagination conveyed in the child’s LEGO model, as well as likes and retweets received on the video. The winners will be announced shortly after the contest’s close on February 5, 2017. Official rules can be viewed here.
