This beautiful ballet tells the story of Princess Aurora, who was born to the King and Queen of a magical fairytale kingdom. A wicked fairy curses Aurora at her christening and promises that she will prick her finger on a spindle and die. The Lilac Fairy comes to the aid of the royal family and uses her magic to alter the wicked Carabosse’s spell. Aurora is now destined to fall into a deep sleep only to be awoken by true love’s kiss. A century later, with the help of The Lilac Fairy, a Prince seeks to wake Aurora from this sleep and lift the spell. A magical story awaits audiences who embark on this adventure.


Join West Chester Parks and Recreation at our Movies in the Park on Friday, May 16th, at Dusk (est. 7:30pm) for our first movie night of the season! 
We will be showing How to Train a Dragon at Marshall Square Park. 



The Annual Phoenixville Dogwood Festival and Parade is one of Phoenixville's
oldest traditions. It takes place May 14-17 at Reeves Park.


Join us for this family-friendly event on May 18 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Broad Run Park - Broad Run Rd, Downingtown, PA.
Rain or shine! There will be tons of activities, fun games and food!


Take a walk or drive-thru option to see the beauty, smell the fragrance & bring a camera. We will be selling cut flowers at the gate.

Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.




Burn off some energy while having some fun while skating with the family.

 


Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park have adventures behind every corner. They are the ultimate indoor playground for your entire family. Take your kids’ birthday party to the next level or spend a day of fun with the family, and you’ll see why we’re more than just a trampoline park.

With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen Jr. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!



West Chester University’s (WCU) Wells School of Music (WSOM) and the West Chester University Opera Theatre Presents HANSEL & GRETEL by Englebert Humperdinck on Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m., in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West Chester. Tickets are only $10 for adults, and $5 for non-WCU students and seniors and are available at https://wcupatix.com. Students, faculty, staff, and children under 11 enjoy free tickets (with proper i.d.)
 This familiar and beloved fairy tale HANSEL & GRETEL by the Brothers Grimm comes to life as an opera with enchanting music by Engelbert Humperdinck. In the show, the young brother and sister lose their way in the woods and encounter the witch’s irresistible gingerbread house, but the chilling drama and delectable melodies are perfectly sweetened by a happy ending.

 


Join us the first weekend of May when we celebrate everyone's favorite interlocking construction toys! We'll be hosting displays, activities, and more!
On Sunday, we'll host a special Star Wars celebration as part of our LEGO weekend! Visitors will have the chance to interact with cosplayers and enjoy fun activities (like making their own lightsabers!)


Tour the Family Farm Museum to learn about seasonal tools used on farms from the 1700’s to the 1900’s. 

Take a wagon ride through our scenic 300 acres and help support the Friends of Springton Manor Farm. This non-profit group is dedicated to recreation, education, conservation, and preservation of the Farm, and will share information about volunteering at the park.


This is a sensory-friendly event for community families with children with special needs. Games and activities include a petting zoo, face painting, inflatable outdoor activities, arts and crafts, a plant sale, bingo, and raffles.


Help celebrate nature and protect the environment with our Earth Day volunteer event!
Each year, we bring together diverse volunteers from the community, including individuals, families, scout troops, and youth groups, to work on projects that improve habitat for wildlife, protect important natural resources, and preserve the park’s plant and animal communities.

This event will be fun for the whole family, featuring face painting and crafts. Music and other activities for everyone. 




Enjoy free, all-day admission to the Brandywine Museum of Art and its special exhibitions. In addition to free admission, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. join in creative art activities* celebrating animals in art. Search for creatures in paintings and create colorful bird sculptures and wearable animal masks. At 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. sing and dance along with lively musical performances from the award-winning duo, Two of a Kind.

You’re Invited to Celebrate 225 Years of the West Chester Borough!

Get ready to join us for a momentous occasion as we celebrate the 225th anniversary of the West Chester Borough with a spectacular Birthday Parade! Let’s come together to honor our rich history, vibrant community, and the bright future ahead.



The Upper Uwchlan Township Environmental Advisory Council will host their annual event, a celebration of Earth Day, on Saturday, April 20, 2024. The event will feature exhibits and vendors sharing sustainable and earth-friendly tips, demos, and products. This event will be held rain or shine.



To celebrate our demisemiseptcentennial (175th birthday), we are throwing a year-long series of commemorative events! 



Please join us at the 2024 Brandywine Backyard BBQ Festival, a spring afternoon in the park with live music bands, BBQ, burgers, wine and beer beverages, and dessert food trucks in a picnic setting.  



You're gonna need a bigger weekend. Our world-famous, life-size dinosaurs are meticulously painted and animated to be realer-than-real. Whether you're 3 or 103, this is a one-of-a-kind experience you'll never forget. Take advantage of the Spinosaurus, T-Rex, and so much more!



This spring, Peddler’s Village presents the 3rd Annual PEEPS® in the Village, on display from Friday, March 11 through Sunday, April 24. The colorful display will include more than 90 creations of wall art, dioramas, and sculpture, featuring the popular Pennsylvania-made bunnies and chicks, and carefully handmade and contributed by Philly-area residents and organizations. Admission to the display is free. Guests are invited to vote for their favorite entries. Housed in the new Visitor & Event Center, located off Street Road and Peddler’s Lane.

These six enormous Trolls are on a mission to inspire humans to take better care of Nature. Each has a unique story and is created using repurposed wood by the world's leading recycling artist. The Trolls believe rethinking how we live our daily lives will help save the planet for all animals, including humans, and they want to share their ideas with you.

The Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual spring celebration of Japanese arts and culture organized by the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia, with tremendous support from title sponsor Subaru of America, Inc. Featuring a variety of events throughout the city, the festival brings a taste of Japan to Philadelphia and highlights the beauty of Japanese sakura – the flowering cherry trees that brighten Philly’s parks and streets.
