Matlack Florist's sixth annual Fall Fest!
Live music, giveaways, free cider and doughnuts, face painting, food truck, visiting goats, kid-friendly fun, fall plants and pumpkins for sale, and much more.



Join us for our Fall Arts Fest September 27 at Kerr Park Gazebo.
This event is to benefit the Chester County Mural and Arts Project and help bring murals and visual arts to the borough of Downingtown. 
There will be vendors, art, , free pumpkins, kids activities and food trucks.



Apple lovers all know that Fall is the best time to celebrate this delicious and versatile fruit. On September 26th from 10 AM to 4 PM, everyone is welcome to the Cider Fest at the Mill at Anselma in Chester Springs.



Join us on Saturday, September 26th, for some fall family fun. We will have pony rides & animals, a rock wall, wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, apple slingshots, face painting, food, live music, and much more.




This Halloween display of colorful cartoon characters, scarecrows, a hay hutch, and over ten tons of pumpkins is always a hit! Take a daytime hayride or walk through the maze.



Our fall harvest celebration weekends kick off on September 14, weather permitting. 
 Activities include Apple and Pumpkin picking, Corn maze, Apple cannons, Face Painting, Axe Throwing, Trackless Train Rides, and Hayrides.
The farm market will be well stocked with mums, pumpkins of all sizes and colors, and oodles of fall and Halloween decorating items.

Arasapha Farm is open this year with many new additions and family fun. The corn maze has been planted and new games make it more fun than ever. Other activities include pumpkin picking. This includes a Hayride to the Corn Maze and back to the courtyard. Our picnic areas, along with other activities are available for Birthday parties, family reunions and other gatherings. Parties include a jump on the pillow bounce, pallet maze, tractor and truck playground and corn cannons.



Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire at Mount Hope Estate. Guests can experience themed entertainment, food,  contests, and activities. Tickets should be purchased online in advance to guarantee admission.


Our regularly scheduled weekly train. Enjoy a relaxing 90 minute train ride from West Chester to Glen Mills and return. Pack a lunch to have during our stop at the Glen Mills train station picnic grove where you can explore our picnic area, our 1880s station building, or the Red Brick Winery.



Discover the sights, sounds, and scents of the season with a fun, 30-minute nature walk designed for the whole family.

Explore nature near and far with tools like magnifying glasses and binoculars while using your senses to experience the Gardens through a new lens. Recommended for adults and children.




Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.




Burn off some energy while having some fun while skating with the family.

Join us Friday, September 18 at Broad Run Park for a fun night featuring a special Taekwondo demonstration at 7:15 p.m., followed by a showing of Karate Kid Legends at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy the movie and $1 ice cream!



Celebrate Everything East Whiteland Township at Community Day!
Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 20, from 1–4 p.m. at Valley Stream Park!

The CFHS is excited to announce that we will be hosting a battle reenactment! Join us for a historical journey back to September 11th, 1777, when the British army engaged Washington's troops at Chadd's Ford.


We are excited to share that the 2026 Oxford Harvest Festival presented by Landhope Farms will be held on Saturday, September 19th at Oxford Area Recreation Authority Park. All important announcements and event details can be found below. We look forward to bringing you a fun-filled community event!

A local favorite, the Fall Festival features a wide variety of historic skills and trades demonstrations, hayrides, and hands-on activities for kids of all ages! This year, the site’s archaeology festival has been incorporated into the Fall Festival, so the event will also include archaeological excavations and activities, plus displays from local historical organizations. In addition, there will be vendors of handcrafted goods in the Colonial Market, locally-made beer and wine at the Tavern, a Community Corner featuring local businesses and organizations, and food vendors. Admission to the Fall Festival is free. Parking is $5 per car.


Chester County Restaurant & Food Truck Festival The Chester County Restaurant and Food Truck Festival is back for its 44th year! This foodie event is full of entertainment, information booths, local artisans, and tons of delicious food from Chester County and beyond. Local & regional food vendors and restaurants take over Downtown West Chester serving up some of their delicious, gourmet, ethnic, and unique restaurant favorites. The Beer and Wine Garden is a great place to stop and enjoy your food with a beverage. There are also three stage areas with bands performing throughout the day.



Join Thomas the Tank Engine™, a full-sized operating steam locomotive, as he greets friends of all ages. Thomas and his friends return to the Strasburg Rail Road in 2026!

Thomas the Tank Engine — the famous steam locomotive from the Island of Sodor — will pull your 45-minute excursion ride (4.5 miles east and 4.5 miles returning west on the same track) through the beautiful Lancaster County countryside.

FREE EVENT! Close out the summer at Super Saturday: a FREE, carnival-style celebration for the whole family! Enjoy this fun event with food, games, inflatables, and more!



Join the American Helicopter Museum & Education Center on Sunday 8/16
for World Helicopter Day! The museum staff will offer science activities throughout the day.



On Friday, August 14th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, drop off your stuffed animal or favorite toy at the front desk of the Chester County History Center.* We’ll take them on an adventure through our museum, even into the secret spaces that the public is usually not allowed to go! Don’t worry about missing anything; we’ll share pictures of every adventure through email, so you can check in with your friend and see what they’re up to. At 7:00PM, after we’ve tucked the stuffies into bed, we’ll read them a bedtime story that you can join in by Zoom to read along with us! This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce little ones to the joy of reuniting after a short period of separation.

On Saturday, August 15th from 10:00am to 1:00pm, come pick up your friend and enjoy a scrapbooking craft of their adventures. The scrapbooking craft runs continuously, so your family can visit anytime between 10:00am to 1:00pm and still get the full experience!



Join Caln Township Parks & Recreation this Saturday for a showing of Newsies The movie will begin at 8:30 PM, but we will be doing a fun, create your own  Treasure Hunt beforehand at 7:30 PM.

We may not have peaches to pick this year, but we do have Sunflowers sweet corn and extra fun weekend activities to offer.


The Festival of Flight Air Show at New Garden Flying Field in Toughkenamon, PA takes place on August 8 and 9, 2026. Saturday hours run from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (featuring an evening drone, laser, and fireworks show), and Sunday hours run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 



Enjoy the stage show or stroll through Fiddler's Cove to listen as musicians play tunes using a variety of instruments such as guitars, banjos, and mandolins, performing styles such as bluegrass, old-time, and gospel. 

Children and those new to string instruments are encouraged to learn by observing and talking to the musicians in this relaxed atmosphere.
