We invite you to explore our events calendar, featuring a range of family-friendly activities and events to enjoy throughout the week, including weekends. We continually update our events calendar, so there's always something new and exciting to do!
Join us Friday, September 18 at Broad Run Park for a fun night featuring a special Taekwondo demonstration at 7:15 p.m., followed by a showing of Karate Kid Legends at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy the movie and $1 ice cream!

The CFHS is excited to announce that we will be hosting a battle reenactment! Join us for a historical journey back to September 11th, 1777, when the British army engaged Washington's troops at Chadd's Ford.
We are excited to share that the 2026 Oxford Harvest Festival presented by Landhope Farms will be held on Saturday, September 19th at Oxford Area Recreation Authority Park. This Halloween display of colorful cartoon characters, scarecrows, a hay hutch, and over ten tons of pumpkins is always a hit! Take a daytime hayride or walk through the maze.
Our fall harvest celebration weekends kick off on September 14, weather permitting.
Activities include Apple and Pumpkin picking, Corn maze, Apple cannons, Face Painting, Axe Throwing, Trackless Train Rides, and Hayrides.
The farm market will be well stocked with mums, pumpkins of all sizes and colors, and oodles of fall and Halloween decorating items.

Arasapha Farm is open this year with many new additions and family fun. The corn maze has been planted and new games make it more fun than ever. Other activities include pumpkin picking. This includes a Hayride to the Corn Maze and back to the courtyard. Our picnic areas, along with other activities are available for Birthday parties, family reunions and other gatherings. Parties include a jump on the pillow bounce, pallet maze, tractor and truck playground and corn cannons.
A local favorite, the Fall Festival features a wide variety of historic skills and trades demonstrations, hayrides, and hands-on activities for kids of all ages! This year, the site’s archaeology festival has been incorporated into the Fall Festival, so the event will also include archaeological excavations and activities, plus displays from local historical organizations. In addition, there will be vendors of handcrafted goods in the Colonial Market, locally-made beer and wine at the Tavern, a Community Corner featuring local businesses and organizations, and food vendors. Admission to the Fall Festival is free. Parking is $5 per car.
Chester County Restaurant & Food Truck Festival
The Chester County Restaurant and Food Truck Festival is back for its 44th year! This foodie event is full of entertainment, information booths, local artisans, and tons of delicious food from Chester County and beyond. Local & regional food vendors and restaurants take over Downtown West Chester serving up some of their delicious, gourmet, ethnic, and unique restaurant favorites. The Beer and Wine Garden is a great place to stop and enjoy your food with a beverage. There are also three stage areas with bands performing throughout the day.
Join Thomas the Tank Engine™, a full-sized operating steam locomotive, as he greets friends of all ages. Thomas and his friends return to the Strasburg Rail Road in 2026!
Thomas the Tank Engine — the famous steam locomotive from the Island of Sodor — will pull your 45-minute excursion ride (4.5 miles east and 4.5 miles returning west on the same track) through the beautiful Lancaster County countryside.
Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire at Mount Hope Estate. Guests can experience themed entertainment, food, contests, and activities. Tickets should be purchased online in advance to guarantee admission.
Our regularly scheduled weekly train. Enjoy a relaxing 90 minute train ride from West Chester to Glen Mills and return. Pack a lunch to have during our stop at the Glen Mills train station picnic grove where you can explore our picnic area, our 1880s station building, or the Red Brick Winery.

Explore nature near and far with tools like magnifying glasses and binoculars while using your senses to experience the Gardens through a new lens. Recommended for adults and children.
Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.
