Kids who love our summer camp are just as excited about our School Camp!!! School Camp is similar to our summer camp program and is held during the school year when school is not in session. At Chester County Sports Arena spring break camp, kids enjoy such activities as skating, sports, moon bounces, hamster balls, and gaga ball.

Are you looking for something different to do with the kids? Want to have some family fun with your tweens/teens? I may have found a solution for you. A few weekends ago my family and I had the chance to check out Neverland Virtual Reality in West Chester.

What to Expect

Neverland Virtual Reality is located in the historic borough of West Chester. My first impression when I walked in was how clean and simple the space was. There are stations along the walls, each has a monitor, computer, and headset for your adventure. There was 4 of us trying out virtual reality. Our guide Sean was wonderful at checking us in and explaining how things would work. Sean set one of my daughters up in her first virtual reality experience by going over the rules and what she needed to do. He suggested she should try Richie's Plank Experience first, let's just say it was pretty funny watching her reaction. It was cool because the screen at our station shows what she was seeing.

They have a limit of four people at each station. We enjoyed taking turns and laughing watching one another experience virtual reality. We tried Beat Saber, Richie's Plank Experience, Google Earth, Arizona Sunshine, and Fruit Ninja. They also offer multi-player games that you can experience together; however, you need to reserve two stations to do that, so that each player has their own headset.

I enjoyed watching my family having so much fun that I even braved Virtual Reality, I was a little scared because I don't like things I can't control, but Sean assured me it was going to be ok and if I felt upset at any time he would get me out of the program. I never needed his help and had a blast slicing fruit in Fruit Ninja, walking the Plank in Richie's Plank Experience and checking out Google Earth by exploring the Eifle Tower. My favorite part of Virtual Reality was seeing all the details in what I was viewing. When I was playing Fruit Ninja, I really felt as if I had knives in my hands. I was afraid if anyone got too close to me while playing, I would hurt them.

Tips before you visit

- Park your car at the Bicentennial Parking Facility at 20 South High Street. It's a five-minute walk to Neverland Virtual Reality.

- Virtual Reality is recommended for kids 6 and older

- Make reservations before you arrive

In Summary

My family and I had a blast at Neverland Virtual Reality. It was a great way to have some family time in our busy schedule. It was even fun for mom and dad, there are usually not activities that are fun for every member of the family.

Neverland Virtual Reality also hosts birthday parties, kids night out, team building and even summer camps.

If your child loves taking photographs and/or video of family and friends, special events or just for fun; please fuel their passion by sending them to our summer photography camps at THE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP. Here at THE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP we will "expose" your child to many aspects of the art of photography. Varying camps will cover basic concepts such as Rules of Composition, Motion, Lighting, Focus, Perspective, Color & Tones and Textures. There are many camps to choose from depending on the child interests. We offer 17 camps covering various types of photography: Action, Sports, Fashion, Macro, Street, Landscape, Abstract, Portrait, Nature, Wildlife, Photojournalism and some special topics classes.
