Musical Monday's at Glen Eagle Square

On Monday, August 8th at 9:30am, please join Makin' Music at Glen Eagle Square for Makin' Music Monday. They'll be playing a mix of our original songs and traditional favorites, with lots of fun musical props - this is one regular performance not to be missed! Turtle Travels at the Delaware Museum of Natural History

Turtle Travels, a family-friendly new exhibit opening at the Delaware Museum of Natural History on June 18, will be accompanied by local turtle photography and sculptures.

James F. White, Jr., of the Delaware Nature Society and co-author of Amphibians and Reptiles of Delmarva contributed photographs and descriptions of Delaware turtles for display. Nearby, bronze sculptures by noted artist André Harvey will depict painted, loggerhead, box and other types of turtles.

Turtle Travels is an interactive special exhibit featuring a life-sized board game where visitors can experience life as a turtle:

● See live turtles in a special tank
● Watch a video shot by a sea-turtle
● Crawl under a turtle tunnel
● Build the arch of a turtle's shell
● Flip out the feet of a "Swiss Army turtle"
● Pose for photographs at the cutout "turtle traveler" display
● Use radio telemetry equipment

Turtle Travels is a traveling exhibit created by the Environmental Exhibit Collaborative (EEC), a group of natural science museums founded by the EcoTarium, Vermont's ECHO, and Squam Lakes Natural Sciences Center in New Hampshire. Sponsored by DuPont and Glenmede.
