Gluten-Free Food Festival






National Foundation for Celiac Awareness Hosts Gluten-Free Food Festival, Appetite for Awareness, in Philadelphia

Sunday, September 23 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) is hosting its 8th Annual Appetite for Awareness, a gluten-free food festival that pairs physicians and chefs to serve gluten-free dishes from the region’s top restaurants. The event takes place on September 23 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Historic Strawbridge Building in Philadelphia.

Prominent Philadelphia-area restaurants including Melograno, Alma de Cuba, El Rey, Rouge and Spiga will participate in the celiac and foodie-friendly “Gluten-Free Cooking Spree.” Additionally, Appetite for Awareness will feature chef demos; a Children’s Pavilion with kid-friendly, gluten-free food and family activities; a Gluten-Free Beer Garden with flat-screen TVs to watch the Eagles vs. the Cardinals; and the chance to enter to win a one-year Mercedes-Benz lease.

Early Bird registration and discounted tickets are available online now through September 22, and full-price tickets can be purchased at the door. Advanced tickets are $20 for children, $25 for students, $50 for adults and $125 for a family of four. Tickets include unlimited gluten-free food and drink, giveaways and a reusable shopping bag. Celebrate National Pancake Day with Free Pancakes from IHOP. Plus help a local charity.



Head to IHOP to celebrate National Pancake Day on Tuesday, February 28th. From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and IHOP will give you one free short stack (three) of our famous buttermilk pancakes.




 In return, guests are encouraged to make a voluntary donation to support the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital or another local charity.  Guest donations have helped Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals purchase equipment and fund a variety of life-saving procedures and treatments for seriously ill or injured children.

The 9th Annual West Chester Rotary Chili Cook-Off

will be in downtown West Chester

from noon to 3pm on Sunday, October 9th.

Chili fans will be in chili heaven as they sample and vote on their favorite recipes through out the afternoon. Count on the chili being tasty and the competition sizzling!

A whopping 60 competitive Chili teams are ready to show that they indeed make the best darn chili in Chester County.


For the lil’ buckaroos in the family the YMCA’s Kiddie Korral will be back to entertain children with a moon bounce, face painting and games on Church Street.

Chester County Restaurant Festival is the biggest festival of the year. This foodie event is full of tons of entertainment, information booths, local artisans, and tons of delicious food from around the Chester County Area. Local Chester County Food vendors and restaurants are set up on four blocks serving up some of their delicious, gourmet, ethnic, and unique restaurant favorites. Throughout the day, at two locations, live bands perform. In the afternoon, we hold the Chester County Culinary Cook Off. The Cook Off consists of four local chefs competing through a series of cooking challenges to win Top Chef Award.
