The West Chester University Dance Team is excited to offer a youth clinic for participants in grades K-6! The clinic is an excellent opportunity for the dancers to gain exposure to the team and learn the Golden Ram's traditions. Dancers can expect individualized attention from West Chester University Dance Team members, new choreography, and an overall fun experience. The clinic provides a great introduction to jazz, hip-hop, and pom styles. Dancers will also learn fun routines and receive a t-shirt. Participants should wear sneakers and comfortable shorts or pants to dance. 

We are so excited to have you at our second annual WCU Dance Team Youth Clinic!

Cheer Basics Classes at John Pancott Gymnastic Center


Cheer Basics is for anyone who wants to learn cheers, dances, jumps, stunting and tumbling with a focus on proper technique and safety.

Classes will be tailored to the experience levels of the participants, making this class great for beginners as well as for more experienced cheerleaders who want to learn new skills and improve existing ones. Participants will be divided up according to age, skill levels and individual goals.


No experience necessary! We are here to provide training in a non-stressful, fun environment.

Cheer Excel Allstars

Are you looking for your child to be a part of a competitive cheer program where the coaching staff will care about their progression and well being? Or, are you looking for a safe environment for your child to practice their back hand springs or cartwheels?  I recently had the chance to check out such a place in Chester County.  Cheer Excel Allstars is located in Downingtown Pa, on Boot Road. This is a new location for them and the facility is clean and has all new equipment. 

The owners, Tara and Amy are very nice and patient working with the kids.  What I really liked as a parent is the focus on safety.  They teach the kids the correct way to do a move and explain to them why their arms and legs should be a certain way to protect the child in case of a fall. Parents can watch their child from a viewing section located right inside the practice area.

Even if your child doesn't want to do competitive cheer Cheer Excel offers open gym times for only $10. This fall open gym is offered on Friday nights from 5-8pm.  This is a chance to work on tumbling skills with qualified instructors, in a modern, safe environment.
