We are planning to hold the 2023 Brandywine Backyard BBQ Festival again this year. Please join us for a spring afternoon in the park with live music bands, BBQ, burgers, wine & beer beverages, and dessert food trucks in a picnic setting.




In celebration of “Shakespeare Day,” Twelfth Night will culminate in a FREE outdoor performance for the public on West Chester University’s Academic Quad on Sunday, April 23 at 3 p.m. The performance will be preceded by a Renaissance Faire with food, games, music, and dance and fencing demonstrations, and other family-friendly activities from 12 -3 p.m. A “Globe-like” theatre will be erected for the performance.

The Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual spring celebration of Japanese arts and culture organized by the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia, with tremendous support from title sponsor Subaru of America, Inc. Featuring a variety of events throughout the city, the festival brings a taste of Japan to Philadelphia and highlights the beauty of Japanese sakura – the flowering cherry trees that brighten Philly’s parks and streets.




Created for the 100-year celebration of The Walt Disney Company, the world premiere exhibition will immerse guests in the beloved stories that have been dazzling fans since 1923.  

The Walt Disney Archives is opening its vault of treasures, showcasing more than 250 of its “Crown Jewels,” rarely seen artworks and artifacts, costumes and props, and other memorabilia.  

Exclusively for this exhibition, Disney has curated special behind-the-scenes glimpses into the creation of the company’s most popular characters, films, shows, and attractions—from Disneyland to Walt Disney World and beyond.  

Plus, ten magnificent and imaginatively themed galleries, all featuring moving stories, unique interactive installations, and exciting background information, will take visitors on a journey through 100 years of The Walt Disney Company, celebrating the classics from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Strange World, as well as the latest members of the Disney family—Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic. 



 
Elmo’s Springtacular at Sesame Place is filled with furry fun and exciting events! Join in on the fun with an exciting lineup of music, meet & greets, pirate adventures, and fireworks.



Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.

Beginning April 22, our Open Air Theatre and Italian Water Garden fountains spring to life, as do our Square Fountain, Round Fountain (Flower Garden Walk), Sylvan Fountain (Peirce’s Park), and Children’s Corner fountains … bringing with them the refreshing sounds and sights of water in our Gardens.




Explore the important role emotions, memory, and imagination play in our everyday lives through hands-on and digital experiences focused on the five emotions featured in the award-winning film: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear.

Guests to the Philadelphia Museum of Art can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.
