Storytelling & Bonfire

Saturday, October 12, 2013
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Warwick County Park

Warwick County Park will be alight with this family-friendly program that includes children's music, seasonal stories, juggling, wagon rides, kids craft, food and face painting.

On stage, children's perfomer Miss Maggie will combine singing, guitar, percussion, poems and stories to entertain children of all ages.

Set against a glowing bonfire, Storyteller Susannah Brody will share seasonal tales and adventures to help bring to life the stories of those who contributed to our heritage. Many of her stories come from the rich history of southeastern Pennsylvania, especially Chester County, where she has lived for more than 30 years.

In the 18th and 19th centuries, the forests within Warwick County Park provided much of the raw timber used to make charcoal for the region’s iron furnaces and forges. Remains of the iron industry can still be seen in the park at the various charcoal hearths and old cart paths.
