Visitors can enjoy a memorable Mother's Day at the Brandywine River Museum, with free admission until noon, breakfast on the Brandywine in the Museum restaurant, plus a native plant sale where Mom can choose her own gift.

The Museum offers free admission on Sunday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and Mother's Day is no exception. Visitors can tour the galleries and see the unparalleled collection of works by three generations of Wyeths and fine collection of American illustration, still life and landscape painting.  The exhibition, Scribner's Magazine: The Early Years in Illustration, on view through May 20, features the works of many of these artists, among them Robert Blum, Charles Dana Gibson, Thornton Oakely, Rose O'Neill, Maxfield Parrish, Howard Pyle, Frank Schoonover, John H. Twachtman and N. C. Wyeth.

Visitors can enjoy breakfast with a view in the Museum's cafeteria-style restaurant, with floor-to-ceiling windows and breathtaking views of the Brandywine River.  The cost of $6 per person includes juice and coffee, tea or milk.  A child's breakfast is also available for $3.75.  


The Brandywine River Museum is located on U.S. Route 1 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. The museum is open daily, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and students, and free for children under six and members.
