The 5th annual Christkindlmarkt is returning to Gay Street on Saturday, December 14 from 11am – 7pm!

Presented by the West Chester Downtown Foundation and hosted by the Chester County Art Association & Downtown West Chester, this outdoor holiday market is free to the public. The Christkindlmarkt will feature over 100 vendors offering individually handcrafted and locally-designed products, such as art, ceramics, jewelry, homewares, and much more!



Kennett Square’s Holiday Village Market is a curated shopping and dining experience in the heart of the Brandywine Valley. Each day boasts a rotating selection of more than 40 artisan vendors, exclusive beverages & hot drinks, food trucks, and family activities. The market is presented by Kennett Collaborative and Square Roots Collective, nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping Kennett Square thrive.

On one remarkable Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts who show him the past, present—and possible future. You and your loved ones are in for a classic holiday treat with this special hour-long musical adaptation for kids that uses traditional songs to highlight Dickens’ magical story. Deck the halls as our holiday spirits travel beyond the footlights right into your very own heart.  



Enjoy a unique display of tens of thousands of lights and animated displays from the comfort of your own vehicle.  Load up the car with family and friends and traverse the 60 acre/1.1 mile route through the Christmas Tree farm lit up and synchronized with Holiday songs to celebrate the season! NEW THIS YEAR: No need to selct a date or time for your reservation. Simply purchase a ticket and show up during the Light Show! The show will not operate if there is inclement weather. A Christmas tradition since 1959, Strasburg Rail Road welcomes a very special visitor every November and December. That’s right, Santa himself will climb aboard the historic steam train to greet families as they travel down the tracks to Paradise, PA and back. As a special treat, children ages 11 and under will receive a gift from Santa and his helper during this nostalgic 45-minute steam train ride.

Santa is coming to Al Pastor Exton for Brunch! On Saturday, 12/16, 12:30-1:30 pm, indulge in our delightful Brunch menu featuring Tres Leches French Toast, French Toast Sticks, and Breakfast Tots! Plus, enjoy $5 Mimosas and Bloody Maria's. It's the perfect way to celebrate the season! 



Saturday, December 16

Santa welcomes people of all ages and abilities to a sensory-friendly Santa experience. This drive-thru event will be held at two locations and will be free of loud noises, lights, and sirens. We look forward to seeing you all there!



Touch-A-Truck Day is a free, family-friendly event held at the parking lot at the corner of Chestnut Street & Church Street on Sunday, December 17th, from 10am-12pm. It allows children of all ages to explore the vehicles that fascinate them (police cars, cranes, fire trucks, ambulances, etc.). This hands-on event is the perfect opportunity for children to see, touch, interact with, and learn about dozens of vehicles and meet local first responders. There will also be face painting from local artist Birl Girl Designs!



Dec. 15,16 & 17 

Classic Nutcracker brings to life the night when Clara Silberhaus received an enchanted Nutcracker doll from her Uncle Drosselmeyer. His Christmas gift comes to life, introducing Clara to giant mice, toy soldiers, and a kingdom where holiday treats dance in spectacular splendor. Audiences follow the story from the opulent Silberhaus mansion through a snowy wonderland into the fantastical Land of the Sweets. Children of all ages delight in this holiday tradition's charm, beauty, and grandeur, featuring a cast of over 150 performers and award-winning dancers from the acclaimed Rock School for Dance.



Come walk through over 500,000 Holiday lights and figurines filling over 11  acres of ground, all set in time to your favorite Holiday music. Take a spin on the Round-Up, swing through the air like Santa’s Sleigh, or ride our brightly decorated Ferris Wheel with over 10,000 lights, all digitally synchronized to the Holiday music.  This year features even more rides and more enjoyment for ALL ages.


The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision. Join us this Holiday season for one of the most beloved musicals of all time!

Join us annually in December for the holiday classic, The Nutcracker! Ring in the season with Tchaikovsky's timeless score and be transported to the magical Land of Sweets as you join Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy on the journey of a dream. This performance is one of Chester County’s signature holiday events and features original, traditional choreography by David Kloss and Donna L. Muzio, integrated with new choreographic elements by Resident Choreographer Nancy Page and Tim Early. Brandywine Ballet’s five-performance run of The Nutcracker continues to delight audiences each year with a tour de force of beauty and elegance.



Join us in the parking lot located on the corner of Chestnut St & Church St in Downtown West Chester for the Touch-A-Truck event from 10 AM to 12 PM! Ambulance, Police, and West Chester Fire Department trucks will be there! Meet the firefights, get hands-on with a fire truck and so much more. There will also be face painting from local artist, Birl Girl Designs! This event is led by the West Chester Business Improvement District and is a part of the Chester County Holiday Lights Up Weekends in West Chester event series.
