A list of the best things to do in Chester County

   this  weekend

 March 27th, 28th, and 29th

What to do this weekend with your family? There is a wealth of activities available for families and kids. We invite you to explore our events calendar, featuring a range of family-friendly activities and events to enjoy throughout the week, including weekends. We continually update our events calendar, so there's always something new and exciting to do!

Discover the sights, sounds, and scents of the season with a fun, 30-minute nature walk designed for the whole family.

Explore nature near and far with tools like magnifying glasses and binoculars while using your senses to experience the Gardens through a new lens. Recommended for adults and children.

We’re happy to invite you to our Annual Spring Fling, our Easter celebration at Rooted you won’t want to miss.  Join us on Sunday, March 29 from 12–2 PM for an afternoon that’s sure to be eggs-tra sweet.
Our Easter Bunny duo will be bouncing in for photos, and we’ll be pouring complimentary coffee from Little Goat for the grown-ups while the kiddos sip on hot cocoa. Every child will head home with a special gift from the Easter Bunny.

Join us March 28 & 29 April 2, 3, & 4 for a fun-filled day visiting the Easter Bunny!  Enjoy a scenic wagon ride out to the Bunny’s den, where everyone will meet the Bunny and be given a special egg with a token for a free treat at our market!

At Kerr Park. KIDS ONLY are allowed to keep 2 fish each. Practice catch and release by gently releasing any fish you do not want to keep so it survives for you or someone else to catch later!

This spring, Peddler’s Village presents the 3rd Annual PEEPS® in the Village, on display from Friday, March 9 through Sunday, April 12. The colorful display will include more than 90 creations of wall art, dioramas, and sculpture, featuring the popular Pennsylvania-made bunnies and chicks, and carefully handmade and contributed by Philly-area residents and organizations. Admission to the display is free. Guests are invited to vote for their favorite entries. Housed in the new Visitor & Event Center, located off Street Road and Peddler’s Lane.

Spring in our Gardens isn’t rendered. It’s real. And it’s our kind of AI: Always Incredible.

Every bud, bloom, and birdsong is nature-generated, crafted by sunshine and soil … not software. Color pops, leaves unfurl, and the whole landscape awakens with fresh, authentic, undeniable energy. Early spring bulbs bring the season to life, followed by flowering trees bursting into bloom. Fragrance drifts on the breeze. Radiant tulips stretch towards the sky.

Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.

Burn off some energy while having some fun while skating with the family.

With inventive, joyful staging by Director Molly Rosa Houlahan, this music-filled adaptation of A Christmas Carol offers a surprising, whimsical reimagining of Charles Dickens’ beloved classic. Seen through the eyes of a child, we follow Ebenezer Scrooge and a gathering of ghosts on a journey through time that celebrates the redemptive power of kindness, hope, and love. Featuring original music by People’s Light Producing Artistic Director Zak Berkman, woven with traditional English carols, and starring Ian Merrill Peakes as Scrooge, A Christmas Carol is a must-see for the whole family this holiday season.

Based on the classic movie, this musical captures holiday wonder with funny and heartfelt songs, show-stopping dancing, a pair of mischievous dogs, delicious wit and a heart of gold!

December 13th -December 29th

THE LITTLE ORPHAN WHO COULD. Annie is taken from her orphanage and the clutches of evil Miss Hannigan to stay at billionaire Oliver Warbucks’ mansion for the holidays. When Annie wins the hearts of Warbucks and his staff, they set out on an epic mission to find Annie’s parents. Meanwhile, Miss Hannigan, in partnership with her brother, Rooster, and his girlfriend, Lily, attempts to make some money from this unique situation.

What would the holidays be without George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®? Whether it’s your first or thirty-first time seeing Pennsylvania Ballet’s production of the classic, watching the timeless story brought to life is always a delight.
