Kaleidoscope Cove at Adventure Aquarium

A tidal wave of color is now washing over Adventure Aquarium! This completely new exhibit offers an immersive, colorful experience designed to engage and inspire, inviting guests to dive deeper into the colors and wonders of ocean life.


This winter, there’s no better place to warm up—and chill out—than Longwood. Escape the chill and bask in the warmth of our beautiful new West Conservatory as it begins its peak flowering season. Relax amid lush, tropical gardens. Unwind as the soothing sounds of water transport you to another world. Soak up the sun and leave your winter worries at the door.




Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.




Burn off some energy while having some fun while skating with the family.

Explore paleontology’s final frontier in Ice Dinosaurs, the Academy’s exciting new special exhibit. Transport yourself to the Late Cretaceous period in the Arctic Circle, where dinosaurs actually lived year-round in extreme polar environments. This brand-new, immersive, and educational experience brings this era to life with animatronic dinosaurs, engaging stories, and real fossils, skeletons, and museum casts.

Easter Egg Hunt at East Brandywine Township Community Park

Easter Egg hunt starting at 3pm at East Brandywine Township Community Park.



Free First Sunday at Brandywine 

The Museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with free admission* to the galleries and its new special exhibition, Wayne Thiebaud. 
In addition to free admission, creative art activities* will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Inspired by Wayne Thiebaud’s fantastic landscapes, create collaborative watercolor riverscapes and capture the view of the Brandywine River in colorful drawings and textured collage. Discover the tricks artists use to depict distance on an imaginary journey through the Museum’s galleries. 

*Pre-registration is required for free timed tickets and art activities; spaces are limited.

Parents Night Out at Philadelphia Rock Gym - Malvern

Whether you are a seasoned climber, brand new to the sport, or just looking for a cool place to be on Fridays, Kids Night is something to check out!  Kids Night offers 2 hours of unlimited Top Rope climbing hosted by PRG’s belay staff for kids ages 6-15 every Friday night.

Since it is a drop-off-friendly program, Kids Night is also a hit with parents!  Kids Night is designed for all levels of climbers – no prior experience is necessary. Grab your friends and reserve your spot today!



Help celebrate nature and protect the environment with our Earth Day volunteer event. Each year, we bring together diverse volunteers from the community, including individuals, families, scout troops, and youth groups, to work on projects that improve habitat for wildlife, protect important natural resources, and preserve the park’s plant and animal communities. Past projects have included planting trees, installing bird boxes, and stream cleanups.

For 2022, we have expanded Earth Day into Earth Month! Instead of one day of projects, we will have four. Each Saturday in April we will meet to plant trees, remove invasive plant species, repair trails, and improve habitat for wetland wildlife! Groups will be scheduled for 3-hour shifts (9am-12pm and 1-4pm).




Hop on over to our special Easter brunches with appearances by the Easter Bunny! Enjoy a delicious brunch, participate in our Easter activities, and meet one of our beloved education animals. Don’t forget to grab a photo with the Easter Bunny and then enjoy exploring the Zoo! There are three brunch sessions each day: 10:00 am, 11:15 am, and 12:30 pm. Space is limited for this event, so please register early and arrive on time.




This spring, Peddler’s Village presents the 3rd Annual PEEPS® in the Village, on display from Friday, March 11 through Sunday, April 24. The colorful display will include more than 90 creations of wall art, dioramas, and sculpture, featuring the popular Pennsylvania-made bunnies and chicks, and carefully handmade and contributed by Philly-area residents and organizations. Admission to the display is free. Guests are invited to vote for their favorite entries. Housed in the new Visitor & Event Center, located off Street Road and Peddler’s Lane.

As Philadelphia’s newest science museum, it showcases one of the most diverse living arthropod collections in the United States. With two floors of new museum exhibits, a 7,000 square foot tropical butterfly pavilion, and Next Generation aligned educational programming, they offer a unique and interactive experience for all to enjoy.




This groundbreaking exhibition will celebrate the iconic moments, characters, settings, and beasts as seen in the films and stories of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World using best-in-class immersive design and technology. Visitors will get an up-close look at authentic props and original costumes from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts™ films as they engage with innovative, awe-inspiring, and magical environments and installations in this: most comprehensive touring exhibition ever presented about the Wizarding World.

Beginning April 23, our Open Air Theatre and Italian Water Garden fountains spring to life, as do our Square Fountain, Round Fountain (Flower Garden Walk), Sylvan Fountain (Peirce’s Park), and Children’s Corner fountains … bringing with them the refreshing sounds and sights of water in our Gardens.

This winter, experience a warm, colorful oasis in our grand Conservatory. Vibrant Streptocarpus ‘Concord Blue’ baskets float above, pink and purple Saintpaulia (African-violets) delight, and tall Clerodendrum schmidtii (chains-of-glory) stun. From beds of coral Cymbidium to a dedicated area showcasing highlights from our vast collection, find hundreds of orchids in spectacular bloom. What’s more, with the January return of performances to our Conservatory, experience an extraordinary lineup of artists from audience favorites to new talent, all bringing a world of music to the ever-changing beauty of our Conservatory.

Outside, stroll 400 acres of winter’s beauty. Although subdued colors reign, the occasional burst of bright yellow and orange of blooming witch-hazel dots the landscape, while winter grasses add a textural element. 



Elmo’s Furry Fun Fest at Sesame Place

On weekends beginning January 8 through March 20, guests are invited to visit the park to enjoy our event series during Elmo's Furry Fun Fest. Celebrate everyone's favorite red monster during Elmo's Rockin' Birthday Bash, treat little loves to a fun day during the My Fuzzy Valentine's Celebration, let the good times roll during our family-friendly Mardi Gras Celebration, experience our St. Patrick's Day Celebration, and wish Big Bird a Happy Birthday during his Birthday Weekend.
