A list of the best things to do in Chester County
this weekend
July 24th, 25th & 26th
Our summer movie series this year has a fun lineup! All movies begin at dusk (approximately 8:45 - 9:00 PM) and there will be free popcorn at each showing. This month, watch Hoppers.
Spy Day at the Chester County History Center will give children the opportunity to learn to read and write in cipher and code, discover hidden messages in everyday objects, explore the science behind invisible ink, and develop their own secret identity. They'll also learn about real spies who operated in the area during the 18th century and beyond. Space will be limited to provide the best atmosphere for our participants.
Individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorder and their families are invited to join us for early access to the Museum and a variety of creative and accessible activities.
The Kimberton Fair runs July 20th thru Saturday night (25th). Fireworks are scheduled for Friday evening. We hope to see ya on the Fair midway. Don't forget the Fair Donuts, Hamburger & Hot Dogs and our ice-cold Birch beer. There's a lot to do and see at the Kimberton Fair!
Our regularly scheduled weekly train. Enjoy a relaxing 90 minute train ride from West Chester to Glen Mills and return. Pack a lunch to have during our stop at the Glen Mills train station picnic grove where you can explore our picnic area, our 1880s station building, or the Red Brick Winery.
Discover the sights, sounds, and scents of the season with a fun, 30-minute nature walk designed for the whole family.
Explore nature near and far with tools like magnifying glasses and binoculars while using your senses to experience the Gardens through a new lens. Recommended for adults and children.
Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.
Burn off some energy while having some fun while skating with the family.
