Fun Things To Do in Chester County This Weekend For Families and Kids April 2nd -4th

A list of best things to do in Chester County this weekend, April 2nd -4th

What to do this weekend with your family? Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend. Please call ahead before leaving your house to ensure the venue is still hosting the event. Due to the new COVID guidelines, many venues have had to cut back on the number of visitors they can allow.

The Egg Hunt will be altered in 2021 to comply with state COVID-19 guidelines. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory for everyone in attendance, and advanced registration is necessary. The event will also be spread out throughout the day to decrease the maximum group size. Please come for your age group; if you have kids of various ages, please choose a one-time slot. Registration is capped at 100 kids per age group. The Easter Bunny will be on-site and waving to the kids. But he will be "up in the sky," so we won't be able to sit for pictures.

Safe family fun abounds with socially distanced train rides, an Easter-themed craft and scavenger hunt, fresh steam-popped popcorn, plus admission to the Marshall Steam Museum, with operating model trains.

A twist on our Annual Egg Hunt, this event will be very similar to our "Drive Thru Trunk or Treat" we organized back in Oct. 2020. Several volunteer groups will have "Easterized" stations in the Municipal Bldg. rear parking lot (401 E. Gay St., enter via Gay St. to N. Adams to the parking lot). Parents slowly drive thru the parking lot, and our awesome, masked-up volunteers will pass out eggs and goodies. Contactless, safe, Covid protocol compliant...we want to give the kids a little something to look forward to this year.  Registration Required

Hop your way into spring at our super fun Easter Egg-stravaganza! Take a wagon ride to the “Hunting Grounds,” where kids will find 6 candy-filled eggs, get a prize and meet the Easter Bunny. A great way to kick off the spring season.

Travel back in time 66 million years ago and journey to an age when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Encounter 24 life-size creatures, learn about these prehistoric giants, the rise of humans, and our impact on wildlife and the planet!  Timed tickets are required.

Spring is in the air! Don’t miss our seasonal event, Springtime In The Park. Enjoy 4 fun-filled weekends of rides, coasters, Hershey Characters, ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park visits, and so much more!

Help celebrate nature and protect the environment with our Earth Day volunteer event. Each year, we bring together diverse volunteers from the community, including individuals, families, scout troops, and youth groups, to work on projects that improve wildlife habitat, protect important natural resources, and preserve the park’s plant and animal communities. Past projects have included planting trees, installing bird boxes, and stream cleanups.
