Here is a list of Summer Camps in and around the Philadelphia  Area. I have tried to include as much information to help you learn more about camps. I have a variety of camps some are full day, half day and even over night camps.

Overnight Camps

Golden Slipper

Location: Bartonsville, PA (Near Stroudsburg), but main office is located in Bala Cynwyd, PA

Ages: 7-15 for campers... 16= counselor in training

General Information: Golden Slipper Camp emphasizes Jewish values and includes Jewish programming, but more importantly aims to unite children from various cultures and give them the best summers of their lives. There is a unique diversity and spirit at this camp that is palpable year after year. The facilities are comparable or even better than for-profit camps, and a vast array of activities are offered, from sports, to arts and crafts, to a challenge course, to a water activities in our mile long lake, and more. And being in the beautiful Poconos, kids experience the wilderness like they never have before.

Ages: 10-17
General Information: 

JKCP is an opportunity for students ages 10 to 17 years old to enjoy academics, sports and activities. JKCP boasts over 20 summer programs, which include tennis, golf, fitness, cooking, fashion, arts, robotics, internships and more. All courses are taught by professionals in their field. Students can choose the courses they want each week and get the unique opportunity to learn something new. Students reside at the prestigious Haverford College or Villanova University in the suburbs of Philadelphia. This is a chance to explore new ideas, skills and experiences while making friends from over 35 states and 40 countries. Residential and Day programs available.

Trashcan Lacrosse
Location: Episcopal Academy, United Sports and Westtown School

Ages: 8-14

General Information: Trashcan Lacrosse camp is certainly not your typical lacrosse camp. This camp is built on the foundation of skill building and every player who attends having success and fun. We have developed a curriculum that maximizes the "touches" players get while truly improving their fundamental skills. Our Progressive drills and games allow for players at every level to improve and our staff is first rate. We have our share of MLL, NLL, and College players but lacrosse coaches who are teachers primarily staff our camps.

Valley Forge Educational Services' Summer Matters Camp

General Info: Multiple Camps offered from ESY camps, Autism &  Asperger’s Syndrome and a camp for children with learning challenges.  The camp focuses on socialization and academics as the core of their Summer Matters programs.

Briarwood Day Camp

Location: Furlong, Bucks County, PA.

Ages: 3-14 years old

General Information: They pick up from people's houses (they have campers in Delaware County) and they provide lunch each day.They have 3 pools, softball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts (indoor and outdoor), a rock wall, bmx, zip lines, an art room with two kilns, jungle gyms.


Summer Discovery

Location: University of PA

Ages: Grades 9,10,11,12

Day Camp at the University of Pennsylvania-offers 4 or 6 week college credit and pre-college enrichment courses

General Information: 6 weeks, Pre-College Program for students completing grades 10, 11, 12- 4 weeks, Science & ESL Academies for students completing grades 9, 10, 11, 12

Green Valleys Association’s Summer Nature Day Camps

Location: Green Valleys Association at Welkinweir Arboretum 1368 Prizer Road

Ages: 4-14



General Information: 
Nature camps run rain or shine, on a weekly basis, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. option is available for younger campers. Nine weeks of camp are offered for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grades, with each week having an independent theme. Three of the nine weeks offer camps for children entering grades 6, 7 and 8. Campers are split into 4 groups with age-appropriate activities. All groups have a ratio of 2-3 counselors per 12-14 campers. Campers are outside most of the day, with an indoor facility for cooling off and shelter from storms.

Kids ages 5-12 will enjoy a different Young Rembrandts® drawing and a cartooning less each morning and again each afternoon.   We will also enjoy one of the following activities: arts and crafts, beading, cooking, drama, yoga, outdoor games and water play - along with afternoon exclusives - pottery (2x per week) and Zumbatonic® (1x per week)*

They also have a preschool camp for 3 1/2- 5 year olds.


Benchmark School Camp

Location: Benchmark School 2107 North Providence Road, Media, PA

Ages: 6-11 years old

General Info: The five-week Summer Language Arts Camp is designed for students ages 6 to 11 who can benefit from reading and writing instruction beyond the regular school year, as well as enjoy the fun of a recreational day-camp experience. The program combines 1–3/4 hours of Benchmark's nationally recognized language arts program with extensive recreational activities, including a Confidence Course. Designed to make even the most reluctant reader "hooked on books," the program places emphasis on developing increased confidence and self-esteem both at work in the classroom and at play with peers.

Rock & Roll After School Summer Band Camp

Location: 400 Franklin Ave, Suite #109 Phoenixville, PA 19460

Ages: 7 to 17 years old

General Info:

Join a band, write a song and perform on stage. No prior music experience necessary. Bands rehearse from 8:30am to 3:00 pm each day with supervised extended care until 6:00 pm.

Led by Villanova Mens Soccer Head Coach Tom Carlin, the goal of the Villanova Boys Soccer program is two fold. 1) To give high school soccer players (Grades 9-12) the edge on recruiting by providing an in depth look at the college soccer recruiting process plus having a collection of top coaches for the players to showcase their abilities. 2) For players (grades 3-8) to TEACH, challenge and develop the enthusiastic, young soccer player in a competitive and fun environment. All players will be trained in a 1:8 coach to camper ratio by our professional staff, comprised of top collegiate, club, and high school coaches as well as collegiate players who are all here to help you reach your goals. General Information
Fire up your creativity and join the fun this summer at The Clay Studio's week-long clay camps, designed for ages 6 and up! Campers expand their imaginations and explore the exciting world of clay through a wide range of projects and building techniques. Whether working with sculpture, claymation, or wheel-thrown pottery, students learn in a supportive, small class setting with plenty of individual instruction.


Summerstage at People’s Light &  Theatre


Location: 39 Conestoga Road, Malvern, PA 19355.

Littles, Grades 2—3
Monday—Friday, 9am—3pm

Ten days of creative fun! Young artists will explore our upcoming production of Shipwrecked! through improvisation, writing, and movement to create their own adventure story. This workshop will develop an original script, performed for family and friends on our last day, and is a great experience for both returning students and first-time Summerstagers!

Youth, Grades 4—8
Monday—Friday, 9am—3pm

Imagination and creativity are at the heart of this four-week program. Students work with professional artists to explore theatre through acting, movement, music, writing, and design. Youth Summerstage will use the well-loved classic A Wrinkle in Time as a springboard of inspiration to create a unique new production written and performed by the participants.

Teen, Grades 9—12
Monday—Friday, 10am—3pm

This exclusive teen ensemble will write, design, rehearse, and perform an original script inspired by our upcoming production Of Mice and Men. Teens will work with senior members of the acting company and designers through this four-week intensive. *Teen Summerstage will take place at Delaware Valley Friend School in Paoli and participation is by audition. Art Partners Studio

General Information: A non-profit art center in Coatesville that offers after-school art programs and eight weeks of summer all-day camps for kids ages 6-12 and photography workshops for kids ages 13-15 starting June 20!

Times: Camp is full day and half day (although half day only for the 4-5 year olds).  Full day is 9 am-3:30 pm and half day is 9-11:45 am or 12:45-3:30 pm.  Before, after and lunch care are also available



General Information:
This summer, we’re putting ART in the spotlight, and highlighting the many ways that the visual arts enhance every form of creative expression. Explore drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, ceramics, metalwork and jewelry through projects inspired by theatre, music, dance and more.  Camp runs June 13-August 26 in 11 one-week sessions in full and half days for children ages 4-13. Yellow Springs Camp
Location: Historic Yellow Springs 1685 Art School Road Chester Springs, PA 19425

Ages: 5-14 year olds

General Info:
We provide unique and enriching day camp programs in the visual & performing arts, archaeology, history and nature for children and youth ages 5-14 year olds. We also offer a Counselor in Training (CIT) Program for 15 to 17 year olds.
Yellow Springs Camp is located on 142 acres of beautiful landscape with meadows, fields, and natural springs including 13 historic buildings that make up a 'living' early American village.
All campers bring their own lunch and two snacks, hat, sunglasses, sun screen, bug spray, reusable water bottle, and a towel and extra sneakers for creek walks. Campers will receive a group camp photo and a Yellow Springs souvenir.
The camp day is from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Camp Show & Tell is each Friday at 3pm for family and friends.


Brandywine and Red Clay Valley Associations’ Myrick Center Summer Camp

General Information:
Programs for fours and fives are half-day and sensory-based. Sixes and sevens delve into the world of animals and habitats. Eights and nines may tube the Brandywine Creek or go in search of treasure. Tens to 12s participate in high adventure caving, rock climbing and overnight camping trips. Ages 11-to-15 can learn everything they need to know about fishing while practicing their skills in local ponds, rivers and streams. Guaranteed to get your kids wet, muddy and outdoors!

Location: The Franklin Institute Phiadelphia PA

Ages: PreK thru 8th Grade

General Information:
 Our  program is a great science based day-camp for kids . Campers spend each week exploring the museum, engaging in hands-on science activities, participating in explosive, live science shows, and having fun; all while learning!  Each Summer Camp session's theme is independent of the other weekly themes. Although the basic science learning goals remain the same throughout all camp classrooms, activities, trips, and themes are carefully modified in order to be made grade-appropriate. Campers do not need to attend weekly sessions consecutively; however, campers should attend a full weekly session to get the most out of the experience

Our Summer camps appeal to all age groups here at Cheer Excel. This is a great time to work on your goals for next season! This is not Open Gym…we will split into groups based on skill sets and progress through stunts and tumbling. Don’t worry, we’ll find plenty of time for fun too!
Campers should bring their lunch, drinks, and snacks Monday/Thursday. On Fridays we will order pizza, salad & soda for those interested (included in tuition).

Touch of Class Dance Camp

Each day is based on a different theme. Students will have fun learning different styles of dance, accompanied by a special art and craft project. A healthy snack is provided each day. Space is limited!

Little Sprouts



Location: 781 Hillsdale Road West Chester, PA 

Ages: 3-7 yrs old

General Info: Our camps are a combination of nature, gardening, art and cooking activities that provide children with a variety of fun summer adventures. Activities include scavenger hunts, games, craft projects, preparing some delicious snacks and working in the garden. All camps take place outdoors and we have many shaded areas to provide some relief from the summer sun. An indoor space is available in case of inclement weather. Camps are for 4 to 6 children similar in age (e.g. 3 to 6 years or 4 to 7 years). You can choose a week of camp for your child and his or her friends or you can contact us to have your name put on the waiting list for one or more camp weeks. When at least 4 children are on the waiting list, we will activate the online registration for that particular camp.Camp hours are 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. but we can also accommodate 10 a.m. to noon.

Our summer camp is filled with fun educational activities for children ages 3-12 years old. Our 3 and 4 year old program consists of a full time curriculum with visitors coming in several times a week to speak with the children about the biweekly theme/unit that they children are learning about. Our camp for ages 5+ consists of approximately 3 field trips a week that include: Herrs Chip Factory, Bowling Palace, Delaware Children's Museum, Hands on House, and much much more.
