   this  weekend

May 22nd, 23rd, 24th, & 25th

What to do this weekend with your family? There is a wealth of activities available for families and kids. We invite you to explore our events calendar, featuring a range of family-friendly activities and events to enjoy throughout the week, including weekends
We continually update our events calendar, so there's always something new and exciting to do!

Take a relaxing trip to Glen Mills and return on a Sunday afternoon while remembering those who have served our great country. All veterans and active military passengers ride for a special reduced fare.

The oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed competition in the US, the Devon Horse Show, is in town and ready to entertain families. In addition to horse competitions, guests can expect traditional country fair delights, raffles, guided back-barn tours, and amusements.

The Marshallton Conservation Trust is proud to present the 2025 Marshallton Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Sunday, May 24th at 1:30 p.m. to salute the brave men and women who have served, those who continue to serve, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

You can fish for free at Marsh Creek State Park during official Fish-for-Free Days designated by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC). On these dates, both residents and non-residents can legally fish in the 535-acre Marsh Creek Lake and surrounding waters without a state fishing license.

The 2026 Memorial Day Remembrance Walk will begin at Oxford Memorial Park.  Step off at 10 am. We invite families, walking groups and Veterans to join as a community and walk from Oxford Memorial Park to Pine Street and into the Oxford Memorial Cemetery, where the American Legion Post 535 will conduct their Memorial Day Ceremony.  Our silent walk will accompany the drum cadence of the Oxford Area High School Marching Band.

Kennett Square loves a parade, and the Memorial Day Parade—a fun, family-friendly event with something for everyone—is always its largest. The parade honors our veterans, many of whom participate in the parade, riding in antique convertibles.

Join us on May 25th at  10:00am. The parade begins at Beaver Creek Elementary, continues down Pennsylvania Avenue, and ends at Kerr Park.  Ceremonies at the Veterans Memorial will follow.

Ride the rides, eat some food, and play games at the carnival

Please join us for the Annual Avon-Grove Memorial Parade on Saturday, May 23rd starting at 9:00 am at the former Avon-Grove High School Parking Lot.

Discover the sights, sounds, and scents of the season with a fun, 30-minute nature walk designed for the whole family.

Explore nature near and far with tools like magnifying glasses and binoculars while using your senses to experience the Gardens through a new lens. Recommended for adults and children.

Spring in our Gardens isn’t rendered. It’s real. And it’s our kind of AI: Always Incredible.

Every bud, bloom, and birdsong is nature-generated, crafted by sunshine and soil … not software. Color pops, leaves unfurl, and the whole landscape awakens with fresh, authentic, undeniable energy. Early spring bulbs bring the season to life, followed by flowering trees bursting into bloom. Fragrance drifts on the breeze. Radiant tulips stretch towards the sky.

Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.

Burn off some energy while having some fun while skating with the family.
