November 11th, 12th, and 13th

What to do this weekend with your family? There is so much to do for families and kids. We invite you to check out our events calendar, with many family-friendly events and things to do on the weekends and every day of the week. We constantly update our events calendar, so there is always something new and exciting to do! Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend.

Check out our discount page to save money on activities to do with the kids, places to eat, or maybe even a date night for the parents.

Come experience the national parks! On Friday, November 11th, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone.

Join us at the library - outside, weather permitting. Bring something to sit on.
Stories read aloud, puppets, songs, fingerplays, learning, and fun. Storytime is great for children 6 and under.
Story times will last approximately 30 minutes and includes a simple craft.

Young children (18 months to 5 years) learn best when they are able to construct knowledge through meaningful play. Children (with their adults) can build and experiment, manipulate objects, count and measure, talk about what they are building, and build their vocabulary. Wee Build is part of the Pennsylvania State Library initiative to incorporate hands-on learning

Make your autumn aquatic during NEW Scarecrows of the Sea at Adventure Aquarium! A crew of colorful scarecrows will be cropping up across the aquarium for a limited time, inviting you to explore life underwater with a fun fall flair.
Look out for friendly faces decorated by our own aquarium employees, dressed as pirates, penguins, mermaids, and more, posing alongside our 15,000 amazing animals.

Outdoor play and exploration are critical to a child's growth and development.  A visit to Treehouse World will nurture your child’s sense of wonder and connection to the environment, helping them to feel at home in nature. Advanced ticket purchase is required.

Vibrancy and imagination abound during our spectacular Chrysanthemum Festival. We stretch our horticultural limits by nurturing and training specialty chrysanthemum forms, all bursting with color from start to finish, making for a radiant Conservatory bursting with personality.

Outside, explore our painted vistas as they change with the season, enjoy family fun in our fanciful Garden Railway and Pumpkin Playground, and find autumnal awe at every turn.

Don't miss the final flourish of our daily fountain performances, as well as Light: Installations by Bruce Munro—on view Thursday through Sunday evenings through October 30. Before dusk, explore our Gardens and kick back with live music in the Beer Garden. As darkness falls, Light’s eight installations begin to shine, adding a dimension of magic and wonder to our Gardens. Join us for that evening’s Illuminated Fountain Performance and enjoy even more fun afterward, as we remain open—and Light remains on view—until 11:00 pm.

Guests to the Philadelphia Museum of Art can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park have adventures behind every corner. They are the ultimate indoor playground for your entire family. Take your kids’ birthday party to the next level or spend a day of fun with the family, and you’ll see why we’re more than just a trampoline park.
