What to do this weekend with your family? Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend. Please call ahead before leaving your house to ensure the venue is still hosting the event. Due to the new COVID guidelines, many venues have had to cut back on the number of visitors they can allow.



Leapin' Lizards! The irrepressible comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world's best-loved musicals in SALT’s first show back in 2021! Join us in-person or via live-stream!


Doodle along with artist Gene Barretta as he sketches new combinations of "ani-mashes" (animal mashups) as suggested by the audience.  
Then meet author Libby Piper and illustrator  Renée Fox as they share poetry and illustrations from their book, Honeysuckle Hugs, followed by child-friendly guided mediation and movement inspired by nature. 



Unleash your inner botanist... Join CCHC Saturday, May 1 from 10-4 for a day of fun and rebirth. With live floral workshops, local vendors, and educational programs for kids!



Join Ranger Wales for an after hours hike on the Horseshoe Trail. This amazing experience is normally something only Rangers get to see and we're excited to share it with you! We will meet outside at the Park Office. Please bring a flashlight if you need it. The hike is suitable for ages 10
and up.



On the first Sunday of each month, the Barnes offers free admission and programming to its visitors. Guests can enjoy talks, performances, and hands-on activities throughout the day. Tickets are limited and must be reserved in advance.


The new Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink will offer outdoor roller skating at Dilworth Park from Friday, April 30 through Sunday, June 27. The rink’s retro-inspired design will feature a checkerboard floor and market lights. A colorful installation of overhead hula-hoops.



Join us for a night of socially distanced family fun presented by Winterthur and our DMNH partners. Put your heads together as you participate in trivia, quizzes, and creative activities. Registration required.



Celebrate May Day with a variety of floral-themed activities for all ages. Explore the exhibition Outside In: Nature-inspired Design at Winterthur, learn about the numerous benefits of essential oils, and meet Animal Ambassadors from the Delaware Museum of Natural History. Enjoy Curious Kids storytime at 10:30 am and 12:30 pm featuring Stellaluna by Janell Cannon, and demonstrations with live birds by Animal Behavior & Conservation Connections from 11:30 am–1:30 p.m. 


Get ready for an action-packed day with your favorite PJ Masks heroes - Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko! Don’t miss the opportunity to meet everyone’s favorite heroes as they pose for physically distanced photos. These mystery-solving superheroes encourage children to spark their curiosity and inspire imaginative play and teamwork along the way! PJ Masks characters appearing: Catboy, Owlette, Gekko.


The Museum will be open for members only during our first two weekends: April 8-11 and April 15-18. New memberships are available for those who wish to come to the Museum during our first two weekends!  Reservations Required

On Friday, Feb. 12, and running through December 2021, Parking Lot Theaters will be hosting popular movies at Exton Square Mall, Exton. In addition to viewing these movies from the comfort of your car, customers can order and enjoy many movie theater amenities such as popcorn, candy, and some hot food choices.



Guests to the Philadelphia Museum of Art can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.


Virtual Event

Music with Miss Jill is an interactive music program for toddlers through Kindergarten. Weekly activities consist of songs, fingerplays, puppets, props, and musical games. Each week is theme-oriented.
Please register with an email address attached to a Zoom account. Zoom invitations will be sent out 24 hours in advance.
