Kennett Square is the place to be for the 27th Annual Mushroom Festival. Enjoy your time in the Mushroom Capital of the World with tasty mushroom foods and mushroom-inspired art, plus mushroom farm tours, exhibits and cooking demonstrations. There is also a Mushroom Walk/Run, an Antique and Classic Car Show, entertainment for children, and the Soup and Wine Fest. 

New this year is the National Fried Mushroom Eating Contest on Saturday, September 8 at 1 p.m. in the Special Events tent. Witness as the record for the most fried mushrooms eaten in six minutes is established, or if you want join the competition and set the record yourself.
The Community Parade kicks off the Festival on Friday, September 7 at 6 p.m. The Street Fair runs Saturday, September 8 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and Sunday, September 9 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) with special activities such as cooking demonstrations and concerts scheduled throughout both days. The Old Fashioned Carnival runs Friday through Sunday, too.
